Trung Vo, owner and woodwind repair technician
A second generation Vietnamese-American, a native of Columbia, Maryland, and a former music educator with Montgomery County Public Schools, Trung began his foray in professional band instrument repair under the tutelage of Steve Ocone in 2021. Since then, he has gone on to repair and service woodwind instruments in the greater Baltimore and Washington, DC metropolitan areas and across the United States.
Also an accomplished woodwind doubler, Trung has performed with many musical groups across the state of Maryland, including the Columbia Orchestra, Greenspring Valley Orchestra, Baltimore Philharmonia, the Columbia Concert Band, the Bay Winds Band, the Maryland Band Director’s Band, the Gennusa Clarinet Camerata, the Hotel Paradise Roof Garden Orchestra, and Toby’s Dinner Theatre.
Trung holds degrees in music education and clarinet from Towson University, and a diploma in Band Instrument Repair from Minnesota State College Southeast (Red Wing).
What started as a dream…
Steve Ocone had been working as a woodwind repair technician at Lee Lachman Woodwind Services in College Park, Maryland for nearly a decade before deciding to open up his own shop here in Baltimore County. Ann & Steve’s music has been around since the early 2000’s, starting as a small repair shop set up in the basement of the owners’ Catonsville home and moving to its Bloomsbury Avenue location in 2011. Ann & Steve’s Music has since been serving student, adult amateur, and professional musicians all across the country.
